The Annual Meeting of Voice Members was held in late November, coinciding with the inaugural address to Parliament of the State First Nations Voice.

Voice Members met in Adelaide to reflect on the first year of the Voice and prepare for the year ahead. They participated in listening sessions for the Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (RCDFSV), spoke with the Hon Kyam Maher MLC, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs about working towards Treaty in South Australia, and heard from the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria about its progress with Treaty in its state.

The Annual Meeting was a terrific opportunity for members across all Local Voice regions to come together, share experiences and attend the inaugural address to Parliament.

The inaugural address was made to a full sitting of Parliament in the Legislative Council chamber. The inaugural address was made to a full sitting of Parliament in the Legislative Council chamber.
