Bio to come
Sheryl is a Ngangruku and Ngintait woman who is heavily involved in the local Indigenous community.
Among many commitments, she is a pastor, director and employee of the River Murray and Mallee Aboriginal Corporation, and involved in the Aboriginal Visitor Scheme through the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement.
Sheryl has a long-held interest in Aboriginal health and education. She works for the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network, is involved with schools in the Riverland and is a member of the Reconciliation Action Plan committee for Berri Barmera Council.
Tim is a proud Ngarrindjeri man and a director of the Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal Corporation.
Tim has many years of experience working in fields of environment, water and land management, and is currently Director, First Nations Relationships with the Murray Darling Basin Authority.
Tim is passionate about providing a voice for First Nations people in policy, strategy and planning. He is a strong advocate for cultural knowledge and western science being equally valued in decision-making processes for Australia's water resources and use.
Lisa is a proud Ngarrindjeri, Kaurna and Boandik woman with over 25 years of experience across Aboriginal education, community development, business administration, sports leadership, and Indigenous leadership. She is widely respected as a role model and mentor, known for leading by example and maintaining deep relationships with community wherever she has lived and worked.
Lisa demonstrates strong community leadership through state, regional, and grassroots roles, including her service as a Local Member for the First Nations Voice to Parliament (SA) Region 4 and Secretary of NAIDOC SA. Her governance and committee contributions ensure Aboriginal perspectives shape education, research, and system reform, while her long-standing involvement in community sport reflects her commitment to culturally safe pathways for young people.
As a grassroots leader, she carries the stories and aspirations of community with her, grounding every decision in truth telling, cultural authority, and respect.
Steph Russell is a proud Ngarrindjeri woman with deep ancestral connections to the Coorong region of South Australia. She comes from a lineage of respected leaders and advocates, including her Great Uncle Tom Trevorrow, and her great-great-grandmothers Queen Louisa Karpany and Queen Ethel Whympie Watson, whose legacies continue to shape her commitment to community, culture, and justice.
From a young age, Steph has been actively engaged in advocacy for First Nations rights. She participated in protests on the steps of Parliament House in Adelaide and stood alongside community in opposition to the Hindmarsh Island bridge, experiences that cemented her dedication to protecting culture, land, and community voice.
Steph is passionate about ensuring that First Nations voices are heard, respected, and meaningfully included in decision-making processes. She is committed to advocating for equity, cultural integrity, and sustainable outcomes that benefit future generations.
Danni is an Eastern Arrernte, Guringdji, Kaurna, Narungga Nukunu and Ngarrindjeri woman.
A proud mother and grandmother, she is passionate about working for her community.
She is keen to actively contribute to systemic change and particularly seek out positive outcomes and opportunities for mob, by Truth telling.
I am a Ngarrindjeri, Wirangu, Ngintait man living and working on Erawirung Country in Berri, with my wife and two children. I have been a Presiding Member for Region 4 for the last two years and have learned a lot in this time amount Government operations.
I am passionate about positive solutions for our people rather than the constant negative narrative about the problems - we know the issues!
Our communities need the resources and support to design and co-design these solutions for generations to come.
